The Author

Greetings! My name's Artika and I'm just a typical Singaporean teenager. I will be turning 18 this October 23rd and attending Ngee Ann's School of Health Sciences (Nursing) this April. People say I'm sensitive, insecure and hard to be with. I say there's more to a person than just a third party's judgement.

This is very very super duper upsetting. I know right?
See? Even celebrities don't have real BFFs.

Well, I'm not trying to be cynical (tho I can be). But seriously, some people should be more realistic. The only time you'll ever notice true love is your wedding day. Not when you're sixteen and been with the same person for as long as 2 or 3 years. That isn't love. It's infatuation. You think you love them, but it's fucking not love. It's just a very strong feeling, one step closer to love. But still, it fucking isn't love.

Ok, that wasn't my point. My point is, people have to step out of their fantasy world. People have to start realizing that not everything lasts forever. Sometimes best friends make bitchy remarks behind your back and 2 seconds later, you're no longer best friends anymore. You're not even friends, not even enemies. You're way below that. You're strangers.

Long story short, for normal people, the world is connected. When you back stab your best friend to someone else, your best friend will know about it eventually. Why? Cus everyone is best friends' with someone. Girl A bitched about Girl B, (whose Girl A's best friend) to Girl C. Girl C share's the gossip to Girl D (Girl C's best friend). Girl D couldn't help but wonder why best friends still back stab each other. And at last, she tells Girl A the truth.

Hmm, yes. Life's very complicated. I'm not saying the whole world can't be trusted. But the thing is, why bitch about someone in the first place?
